Annecy is a town in the Alps, in south-eastern France. It's where Lake Annecy empties into the Thiou River. It's famous for its old town, with its cobbled streets, winding canals and pastel-colored houses. Overlooking the town, the medieval Château d'Annecy, former residence of the Counts of Geneva, houses a museum featuring regional artefacts such as Alpine furniture and religious works, as well as an exhibition on natural history.
